3 things to know about a Clark County business that rose from the ashes

Here are three things to know about the company’s path:

1. Major event. An estimated 50 agencies responded to the fire, including all of the county’s fire departments and a Haz-Mat response team that tried to contain any spillage of potential environmental hazards.

2. The rebound. The family-owned business that began in 1986 did not crumble under the pressure of rebuilding, but bounced back stronger. In 2012, the company had 36 employees, and five years later that number has grown to 45.

3. Continuing its work. R.D. Holder’s new $1.8 million headquarters is located on Dayton-Lakeview Road in New Carlisle. The company now delivers more than 26 million gallons of fuel annually along with 700,000 gallons of synthetic lubricant and 500,000 of diesel exhaust fuel.
