Stranded on the highway? Here's what to do

A Kettering woman was injured this week after two separate vehicles struck her on Interstate 70 while she was on foot, reportedly running across the highway with a gas can in her hand. 

Here’s what to do if you find yourself stranded on the side of a road or interstate:

“If you do exit the car, walk in safe places. An interstate or highway is not a safe place to walk. Crossing an interstate or highway is never a good idea. Traffic is traveling at a high rate of speed,” according to AAA Miami Valley & Northwest Ohio.
