Ohio high school basketball brawl

Adults and students were involved in a major brawl that erupted after an Ohio high school basketball game Friday night in Lexington, Ohio,  according to Mansfield News Journal reporter Connor Casey.

The Lexington Minutemen had just fallen to the Wooster Generals, 63-41, in a contest between undefeated teams, when adults and students in the stands stated to argue. Soon after fans can be seen falling out of the stands and punches begin to be thrown from all directions.

“The kids are okay. It’s just the parents. It’s the adults, whether it be in the state of Ohio or in this country. You see these situations and it’s appalling. it’s just something that I really do not like to deal with, to be honest with you,” Ohio Cardinal Conference Commissioner Ron Dessecker told reporters from WJW in Cleveland.

The Lexington Police Department reported no charges had been made and that there were no injuries requiring medical attention.

All members of the teams had already made it to the locker room and stayed there until the altercation was over.
