The Ohio Hi-Point Career Center and the Don M. and Margaret Hilliker YMCA reached an agreement this week that will allow the YMCA to take over the district’s daycare and preschool operation on the Bellefontaine campus.

According to information from Ohio Hi-Point, the school board approved the lease of the daycare and preschool operation during their most recent board meeting.

In April, Hi-Point Superintendent Kim Davis said the district would look for another entity to operate the program as part of the school’s effort to reduce expenditures.

According to information from Ohio Hi-Point, enrollment of children in the program and the overall management of the programs will be handled by the YMCA staff. For enrollment information or other questions, residents are asked to call Lindsay Jackson at the YMCA at (937) 592-9622.
