BEAVERCREEK — A dump truck driver from Xenia made an improper lane change and ran into the side of a Chevy Malibu driven by a Centerville woman, causing a rollover accident that sent her car into a concrete median on westbound U.S. 35 at Interstate 675 at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8.

Peggi Lewis, the driver of the Malibu had to be cut out of the wreckage by Beavercreek firefighters. She was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Beavercreek Police Sgt. Jim Wuebben. The dump truck driver was cited for an improper lane change, Wuebben said.

Westbound U.S. 35 was reduced to one lane at I-675 until the rescue could be made and the scene cleaned up. The lane reopened at 9:05 a.m.

I'm glad the driver is doing well. I can only imagine the horror she and her family feel seeing these pictures. I'm sure they'll hold each other a bit closer after this. A few years ago my family experienced something similar and now I won't let me husband leave without a kiss and "I love you". Life is too short and unpredictable to waste.

As for DDN....I too am surprised at the lack of accuracy (and proofreading) in some of these articles.

diana - I hope your sister is okay. I will pray for her. Please ignore some of these other posters. They have nothing better to do than nitpick. For the nitpickers - if you don't like the DDN (or their website), why do you insist on reading it? If it is just to find mistakes, that is pretty pathetic.
