SPRINGFIELD — First of all, it’s entirely believable that there are mutants at the Clark County Fair.
Ever walked the midway after sundown?
But how it ended up in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” is anybody’s guess.
If you haven’t heard, Springfield makes a totally unexpected cameo in the new blockbuster, which opened last week.
In the movie, the mutant Sabretooth is tracking down another mutant, Bolt, to kill him. He finds his mutant, where else, working at an unnamed county fair in “Springfield, Ohio.”
“Oh my God, the audience erupted in applause,” said Scott Riley, owner of Springfield’s Main Street Comics and Games. “We had absolutely no idea it was coming.”
Not surprisingly, it’s been the talk at his East Main Street comic shop all this week.
“Everybody comes in and says, ‘Springfield’s in Wolverine!’” Riley said. “It was really, really sweet.”
By the end of last weekend, it was already official — someone had updated the Springfield, Ohio, entry on Wikipedia to include the new information.
“It definitely looked like it could be the Clark County Fair,” Riley said.
Hmm.
Anybody recall any mutants with mullets?

Sorry but the scenes were shot in Sydney Australia.
The Tramway(Trolley) in shot was in our suburb of Glebe.
The "Canadian Rockys" were actually New Zealand"
Cheers
