SPRINGFIELD — Tonight, Springfield High School students, their parents and students from other area schools will have the chance to have their questions about the college experience answered firsthand.
From 5:30 to 7 p.m., the Springfield City School District will host College 101, in which recent graduates will return from college to share their experiences with local students. It will take place in the multi-purpose room at Springfield High School.
It is the third year the district will host the event. However, it will be open to younger students, those from other districts and parents as well this year.
“Current high school students and the Springfield High School grads who are home sharing their stories about college have told us this is really helpful,” said Kim Fish, communication consultant for the Springfield City School District.
Students from the University of Dayton, the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, Miami University, Wittenberg University and the University of Arizona are expected to share their stories.
“We’ll have college students and parents of college students answering questions about how to prepare for college and how to make a successful start in college, so anyone who is thinking ahead to college should come,” Fish said.
