Purse, stereo stolen from cars

A woman in the 2100 block of Superior Avenue reported a purse, camera, iPod and wallet, valued at $485, taken from her car between 8:50 a.m. and 5:25 p.m. Thursday, July 2, while it was parked near Municipal Court, 41 E. Columbia St.

Other thefts reported to police included:

• A woman in the 2000 block of Superior Avenue reported two saws, other tools and a tool box, valued at $400, taken from a garage between June 18 and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 1.

• A man in the 1100 block of Rebert Pike reported a car stereo, valued at $800, stolen from his car between 10 p.m. Monday, June 29, and 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, while it was parked in the 1800 block of North Limestone Street.
