OSU band at Kings Island this weekend

The 230 member Ohio State University Spring Athletic Band will be performing at Kings Island Saturday, May 30. Performance times are 9:30 am, noon and 1:30 p.m. and are included free with park admission.

The Ohio State Spring Athletic Band has performed throughout the Midwest including the Kentucky Derby and the Indianapolis 500. It annually performs for the Ohio State Spring Football Game in Ohio Stadium. This year, the band performed for more than 95,000 people at the Spring Game. The band performs at approximately 20 different venues each Spring.

The Ohio State Band will perform a wide variety of music at Kings Island, including all of the popular Ohio State school songs, as well as patriotic music including “Stars and Stripes Forever” and “America the Beautiful”. The band also will perform music from the 70s Rock halftime show they recently performed in Ohio Stadium. Music from that show includes “Proud Mary”, “Midnight Rider”, “Peace of Mind” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

Kings Island is now open daily. Discount tickets are available online at visitkingsisland.com and at area Kroger and Meijer locations.
