RUSH TWP., Champaign County — No one was injured when a school bus reportedly went off the side of a road and crashed Thursday morning, officials said.
A Triad Local Schools bus crashed in northeast Champaign County around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, officials with the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
Along with the female driver, there was one student on board and neither was injured, officials said.
The bus reportedly went off the right side of the road as it was southbound on state Route 559 outside of Woodstock. The bus struck a road sign and some trees before coming to a rest.
Investigators don’t believe that road conditions were a factor and are looking into the possibility of a malfunction with the vehicle, officials said.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash and the incident remains under investigation.
