Motorcyclist dies in wreck near Cedarville

CEDARVILLE — A Springfield motorcyclist who died in a crash Wednesday, March 17, has been identified, according to a report from the Ohio Highway Patrol, Xenia post.

Terry L. Walker, 63, of 622 Montgomery Ave., was pronounced dead at the scene after his motorcycle collided with a truck on Ohio 72 just north of Federal Road, according to the report.

Walker was northbound on Ohio 72 around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when he drove left of center and hit a southbound pickup truck, according to the report.

The motorcycle overturned and both vehicles went off the right side of the road into a ditch, according to the report.

Walker was not wearing a helmet, according to the report.

The driver of the truck, Daniel L. Orr, 55, of Xenia, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Drugs or alcohol weren’t suspected in the crash, according to the report.

The accident remains under investigation.
