Two men reportedly broke into a house in Springfield Twp. late Sunday, Nov. 22, and assaulted the owner before taking a bottle of pills.
According to a report by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home in the 3000 block of Columbus Avenue at 5:45 p.m.
The victim told deputies two white males arrived at the home, one of whom forced his way inside and demanded money. When the victim told them he didn’t have any cash, one of the suspects punched him in the face, according to the report.
The suspects then took a prescription pill bottle and fled the area. The suspects were not located, although deputies were on the scene within one minute of the complaint. A separate witness also told deputies that two white men had been seen running from the area. The victim was not injured in the assault, according to the report.
