SPRINGFIELD — Two summers ago, Don Everhart attended “The Price is Right Live” — a stage version of the TV game show — at a casino in Las Vegas.
He went dressed as Uncle Sam, but was never called down.
Maybe it’s because he was at the wrong game show.
The Springfield resident finally found a game show where costumes just aren’t optional, they’re tradition.
Everhart will be seen competing on “Let’s Make a Deal” at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, on WHIO, Channel 7, in the Dayton area and 10 a.m. on WBNS, Channel 10, in Columbus. He and his wife, Myrna, and stepdaughter, Connie Flannery, attended a taping of the game show in Vegas in early November.
The Everharts went dressed as scarecrows.
“My wife thought we’d never get picked,” confessed Don Everhart, a retired press operator at KTH Parts in St. Paris.
Mrs. Everhart thought wrong.
Don was picked by host Wayne Brady — standing in for the venerable Monty Hall in the new version of the 1960s classic — about halfway through the show.
“I don’t know why, but I was as calm as I’ve ever been,” he said.
Everhart found himself faced with 10 checks on a table.
“I was always an (Dale) Earnhardt fan,” he said, “so I picked No. 3. That’s where the fun started.”
But whether he gets zonked or not is for you to see.

You are perpetuating a stereotype.
(That means you are acting like I would expect)
Why don't you read the whole comment instead of just the last line.
I await your intelligent comeback. ;)
