Council to raise funds with bad art

The Champaign County Arts Council’s “Bad Art by Good People” fundraiser is under way.

The fundraiser includes local residents creating a piece of art and campaigning for public votes. Artists include: Brenda Cook, Tim Cassady, George Coomer, Kelly Evans-Wilson, Judge Brett Gilbert, Dr. Steve Jones, Greg Kimball, Tina Knotts, Nick Selvaggio, Bryan Thompson, Heather Tiefenthaler, Jay Trainer, Dave Vernon, Tammy Vernon and Teri Woodruff.

Voting costs $1 and can be done at www.champaign countyartscouncil.org or at the Arts Council office.

The Inauguration Auction will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 24. Tickets are $25 and include dinner. Tickets are on sale at the Arts Council office, The Peoples Savings Bank and The Medicine Shoppe. Proceeds benefit the Arts Council. STAFF REPORT
