I would like to know why photos and a big news spread wasn't done by the News-Sun. Is the News-Sun just a little too liberal to cover a conservative event? If true, then you don't chase the news, you are manipulating it and manipulating your readers.

This is how we got into this mess to begin with! Americans got lazy, kicked back in front of our TV sets, and paid no attention while our freedom and economic prosperity was incrementally stolen away by a government more concerned with its own power than the representation of its people. Bush Cheney, Obama, Biden and previous administrations over the past 75 years are equally culpable.

I fear for those who mistakenly believe that the
government is doing anything for them. When someone has to use your money to do something for you it is a sham. There is not one goverment
program that has been run effeciently or has been
cost effective

Obama should "first do no harm". CHANGE is not always a good thing. If all he is going to do is waste money we don't have in the first place, you could have ANYONE with the title of president to do that. He is making it worse. Have you ever seen some of the details of the stimulus bill? Obama and Congress should be ashamed. They are killing us with debt we may never recover from. I have friends who voted for Obama who wish they could take their vote back and feel swindled!

Travis, Obama's magic wand is still in the mail. I can't believe that he hasn't fixed the global finance machine either. ITS BEEN FIVE MONTHS! Christ! If you can't fix the entire world's economic woes in five months, how could you even get elected to be dog catcher? Michelle, your comments show your bias, prejudice, and lack of factual information. As Clinton was leaving office, we were headed towards recession, a fact. Obama is blowing more money than many presidents combined, fact. Obama decides to close Gitmo without a plan, fact. Obama says me must pass the stimulus bill or be headed for over 9 percent unemployment, so Congress did as he wished without reading the bill, and unemployment goes even higher! (just keep acting as if you know facts).

The reason why GM,Chrysler,and Ford went under was because they made cars that where ****** and overpriced,they made more cars that were crap then quality. Thats the reason why Toyota #1,Honda#2 and so forth. Bush has been out of office for 5 months now. Where's all the changes that Obama promised? I don't see them,especially around here I don't.

No, citizen - I'm not misguided, but you may want to check out what a "fact" is. Those rich Republicans aren't creating wealth for anyone else - just themselves. Those rich Republicans are the ones who almost sank our banking, investment and automobile industries. And for the record, Obama didn't put us in this deficit - that happened with Bush. Obama inherited a record deficit from Bush. Bush inherited a record surplus from Clinton.

Tim, I don't know what you're doing wrong in your life that you make $250k and feel that you're broke, but that's not everyone else's problem. I'm sick and tired of seeing the top tax bracket get all the breaks and I know a lot of other people are, too. The only way that we can pay our taxes D if we have jobs, it which a lot of us don't. Thats the reason there is such a big hole in the budget this year for the state of Ohio and the Federal Budget, they think by raising our taxes its going to help, why do think California bankrupt now, think about it. I can't believe the way people complain about paying taxes. Just pay the taxes and stop whining about it! Nobody is poor from paying taxes, it's a ridiculous notion, and it's ridiculous to think that we NEED to have filthy rich people in order to have jobs for everyone else. Don't be so greedy, just pay your taxes like everyone has to, and if you make over $250K/year and you have lost some of the tax breaks you had under Bush, then boo hoo hoo, remind me why I should feel sorry for you.

Everyone wants to be a "Patriot" in the matter of no tax increase. But what will happen when you or a loved one is denied disability benefits when they are bedridden and can't work. Or Unemployment benefits are cut because there are no funds. How can we train our young people for the jobs of tomorrow if they can't get student loans or grants. And don't say that they don't need a college education or that "I did it without going to college." Wake up everyone. the US needs help.

Hey,Michelle. According to you and your gov't. friends quite alot of us middle class didn't know we were 'rich'. My wife and I work a job and half a peice. We drive used cars, neither are less then 5 years old. We live in a slab two story on a city lot. We don't go to resort vactions every year. We do all out home repairs (can't afford not to). We didn't get a tax cut or a stimulus check. Tax energy and health care benefits and you wil have to less tax payers, cause I can't live on less.

Time and time again it has been proven that cutting taxes is the most efficient way to raise revenues, due to increased economic activity. Raising taxes kills economic growth. Do we really want to follow the shining example that California has made?

Tomas that is the last thing that we need to do is to raise taxes in this recession. How do you think people that are out of work, and can't find a job to pay for it. Thats the reason why we need good paying jobs, and put people back to work. Thats the only city,federal,states can back on track with there budgets.

Maybe you don't know - WE are the government. Why don't WE run the government like a business - income versus expenses. Sounds like a good move to me. These same "patriots" are the ones who demand not to pay new taxes but want everything that is paid by taxes anyway. We are in a recession and money is not as available as in good times. There is no free lunch and Americans need to wake up before it is too late. You must either raise taxes or do without some govenment services.
