Girls Gone Wild coming back to Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — It’s baaaaaack.

The Girls Gone Wild party bus will once again steer toward Springfield — with its teeming throngs of nubile coeds — this week for the first time since fall.

The infamous event, with its DVD series of young women cheerfully lifting their tops in public, will set up shop at Spirits, 2118 N. Limestone St., at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11.

Girls Gone Wild made its Springfield debut back on Nov. 21 at the Night Gallery Lounge.

Local promoter Chuck Harris knows Girls Gone Wild has its fans — and its detractors.

“Of course, it’s Girls Gone Wild,” Harris said. “But it’s a nightclub promotion. They’re the No. 1 nightclub promotion in the country. Just look the other way.”

If you’re a bar owner, Girls Gone Wild, it would seem, is just too good for business.

“There’s a huge demand for them,” Harris said. “People go and have a good time.”

If Mr Harris is doing so well with these shows then you would think he'd be man enough to own up to his actons...abandon his kids, taking advantage of trusting people and using everyone for his own selfish benefits. Chuck Harris has no business in the public eye.. he does nothing but lie and steal from good honest people. Bar owners you can do this without him.More power to ya if you keep working with him, You will get used! Go to landon@girlsgonewild.com and book them urselves.he's not needed!

I personally have no problem with GGW.. I was at the Night Gallery show and had a blast and was a lady withuit showing a thing to anyone, However, I do have a problem with the "so-called" Promoter. Do these bars know all they have to do is contact GGW on there own and DON'T need a "Promoter" to book them? All this person is doing is robbing the bar owners of money...Are any of you aware that this "Promote" stills owes the Night Gallery money for the show back in November? As well as workers?

Let's lighten up, folks. If a bunch of Rock of Love reject, Wal-Mart Divas want to show their hoo-has to complete strangers...let them! This is America! Pro tip, Chuck: Be sure you hose the place down and insist that your regulars get their hep B shots. Double check! I heard that a strain of herpes has gone airborne with that whole caravan!
