SPRINGFIELD — Kenneth Hershberger has opened a fundraising consulting firm after retiring recently from the Ohio Masonic Home in Springfield.

Hershberger Monday launched Hershberger FR Consultants, LLC, a company he said would help not-for-profit organizations with fundraising.

Hershberger said the company will provide strategic planning, marketing analyses and planning, donor identification and soliciation, campaign volunteer training, graphic arts, video production, planned giving and grant writing.

“This will simplify the task not-for-profits have in seeking fundraising assistance,” he said. “They will have one-stop choices for any and all needs with simplified billing.”

Since coming to this area in 2002, Hershberger has been active in the Rotary Club of Springfield and on the Invocations Committee and is Chairman of the newly formed Inter-Club Visitation Committee.

He is Past President of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning (PPP), Springfield Chapter, formerly the National Committee on Planned Giving (NCPG).

Hey Mr H, If you are seeking a local Springfield cause with broad roots to show what you can do, take a look on line at the SHS Scholarships. We are running all contributions through The Springfield Foundation. Good luck in this tough economic climate. Jack Hutslar, SHS Class of 1957.

Patrick, looks like you are assuming that Becky is poor and underprivileged. Maybe your firm can help you remove some of that bias.

Ken, congrats and nice work. I think you will do wonderful things for all of the not for profits in the area. they could use your skill and expertise. If there is anything me or my firm can do to help you please feel free to drop me a line we would be more than happy to help.
Becky101 it is poor underpriviledged and ignorant people like you that Mr. Hershberger is helping to support through charitable fundraising, to help you get back on your feet and speak about things you understand.

I'm a fundraiser in the Washington, DC area but grew up in Springfield. Helping non-profits in the area is an incredibly good thing and the fruits of Mr. Hershberger's labor will help Springfield and greater Clark County become a stronger community. I look forward to following his progress.

Congrats on your new endeavor, Mr. Hershberger.
