Flu clinic scheduled for Clark County

Hot Topics

By Staff Reports 7:54 AM Friday, November 6, 2009

An H1N1 flu clinic is scheduled for Clark County residents next week, according to information from the Clark County Combined Health District.

The clinic is scheduled from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Clark County Fairgrounds Tuesday, Nov. 10.

Those eligible for the free vaccine include pregnant women, people who live with or care for children younger than six months old, health care and emergency medical services personnel and those between six months and 24 years old. People who are 25 through 64 years old with chronic health disorders are also eligible.

Ohio 41 just west of the fairgrounds will be blocked due to repairs on Nov. 10 at the railroad tracks. Residents should approach the fairgrounds from the east either from I-70 or Laybourne Road.

They don't have to be from Clark County. I took my children and showed no ID, no proof of anything.

Are they making people *prove* that they (and the children they are bringing) are current Clark County residents? If not, they need to be.

Hydroponics- Anyone with a chronic medical issue, such as asthma, breathing problems, weak immune system from cancer or othe diseases are also on the priority list. I am 29 and I was able to get my shot the other day because I have bronchial asthma.
Concerned- It will open up to everyone as soon as they have enough vaccinations. It's not our local government that is holding the restrictions, it's federal hun, everyone has the same restrictions right now

I'm very happy that my children will be vaccinated. I'm disappointed though that teachers are not able to be yet. I see nearly a hundred students a day, many of whom have missed a week or more of school from the flu. Some of my colleagues see many more students than I do. Our only defense against all these germs is to constantly bleach down our rooms, but we're still breathing the same air.
