SPRINGFIELD — Emmanuel Chrisitan Academy has Bragg-ing rights in its new leadership and is inviting the community to come meet him next week.

New superintendent and secondary principal Daniel Braggwill be at two events for interested community members, according to the school.

Emmanuel will host meetings Sunday, June 12, and Thursday, June 16, for interested people to come together for fellowship and to hear more about the West Liberty-Salem High School alumnus and his vision for the school.

Bragg, 63, most recently served as superintendent of Cincinnati Christian School, Inc, a private K-12 school with about 900 students.

He cites Colossians 1:28-29 as his mission verse:

“We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.”

Bragg has worked in Christian education since 1985, first as a teacher and coach in Indiana, according to his resume. In 1986, he came to Ohio and joined the staff of Dayton Christian High School, where he coached cross country, wrestling and track, and taught social studies and Bible classes.

In 1993, Bragg moved to administration, first as guidance director and then assistant superintendent at Dayton Christian, a school of about 3,200 students, according to his resume.

He has served as a secondary principal at Troy Christian School and in Toledo Christian Schools before becoming superintendent of Toledo Christian in 2003.

Bragg completed his bachelor’s degree at Taylor University and holds graduate degrees from Grace Theological Seminary and Wright State University. He completed his doctorate in Education Leadership at Liberty University in June 2008.

He and his wife, Annette, have four sons: Josiah, 18, Isaiah, 17, Noah, 14, and Micah, 12.

Sunday’s event begins at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Christian Academy, 2177 Emmanuel Way. The second meeting begins at 6 p.m. Thursday.
