The Humane Society Serving Clark County is seeking a $50,000 grant to renovate its animal shelter and vaccinate pets.

“It’s super easy to do. It takes just two minutes,” said James Straley, Humane Society executive director. “You can vote once a day per e-mail address.”

Now in 43rd place, “I don’t care whether we’re first or 10th” at month’s end, he said.

The top 10 finishers in that category are funded.

Votes can be cast at refresheverything.com/servicetopaws or can be accessed by clicking the Vote Now logo at the society Web site, www.clarkhumane.org.

Last month, Clark County residents unsuccessfully tried to get grants for a clothing swap party and a neighborhood greenhouse through the program.
