The Clark County Public Library will close for extended furloughs during the upcoming holiday seasons.

The closings are a result of the state cuts to library funding, library officials said.

Upcoming schedule changes are:

- Branches and the main library will close 5 p.m., Nov. 25 and not reopen until Monday, Nov. 30. The main library opens at 9 a.m. and branches open at 10 a.m.

- The libraries will also close 8 p.m. Dec. 23 and not reopen until Monday, Jan. 4.

Library employees will not be paid during these closures.

During these closures, book/AV drops will not be open for use. Library fines will not be charged and online reserves will not be available.
