CEDARVILLE — Cedarville University will launch a new department of art and design this fall, officials announced Tuesday, Feb. 9.
The new department will staff six full-time professors and offer two degree programs — graphic design and studio art, along with three art minors.
Cedarville has partnered with the International Center for Creativity of the J.D. Orr Group in Columbus to form a new curriculum that will allow students to study on campus for their first two years before applying for an off-campus program where they will continue studio classes while gaining hands-on experience with leading design firms in central Ohio.
The university introduced an art program in 2003.
