Athlete’s visitation, funeral to be at high school

The 2008 Kenton Ridge graduate and Wabash football player died during hip surgery.

SPRINGFIELD — The family of Josh Linthicum finalized the details of his visitation and funeral service on Wednesday, Jan. 6.

Both events will be at Kenton Ridge High School.

The visitation will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, and the funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9.

Linthicum, a 2008 Kenton Ridge graduate and a sophomore offensive lineman at Wabash College, died Monday, suffering heart failure while undergoing hip surgery in Cincinnati. He was 19.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to a memorial fund at National City Bank.

As of Wednesday, more than 1,000 people had joined a Facebook group honoring Linthicum’s memory.
