ALTON, N.H. — An Enon man died of an apparent heart attack while hiking with his wife on vacation in New Hampshire, according to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.
Rodney Jones, 54, of Enon, suffered an apparent heart attack while hiking Mount Major in Alton, N.H., Monday afternoon, Sept. 6, according to the department. Nearby hikers tried to perform CPR and called 911 but attempts by paramedics to revive him were unsuccessful.
An autopsy is not expected to be performed, according to the department.
Jones and his wife were visiting family in Alton Bay area, according to the department’s website.
