WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — Base officials will spend the day on Thursday, Nov. 19, encouraging smokers to quit the habit for at least a day, as part of the annual Great American Smokeout effort.

There are to be activities and information booths on base, with the main activities taking place at the Wright-Patterson Medical Center’s atrium. Personnel from the base’s Health and Wellness Center and the Medical Center plan to provide information about smoking cessation classes.
