Wesley A. Smith of Springfield has been named regional director of military affairs for National College. He will direct the college’s military affairs for seven campuses in Akron area, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton area, Youngstown and Indianapolis.

Smith served 31 years on active duty with the Ohio Air National Guard, retiring as chief master sergeant, and has served as a recruiting and retention superintendent for the Ohio Air National Guard.

Smith supervised 21 recruiters in seven locations throughout Ohio.

National College is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges Consortium, an association of colleges that provide education opportunities for service members and their families.
