Ella Browning, a Springfield resident, was honored as Licensed Practical Nurse of the Year for 2009 for the Springfield branch of Cambridge Home Health Care.

Criteria for the award was based on outstanding patient care and commitment to nursing excellence. The award was presented at a luncheon held in Akron on Oct. 28 by Todd Morgan, the chief operating officer and Tonya Barrett, branch manager of the Springfield office.

Browning has been a licensed practical nurse for three and a half years and has been with Cambridge Home Health Care for two and a half years.

Browning is a graduate of Miami Valley Career Technology Center.
