Watson advances to U.S. Junior Olympic national meet

Tecumseh Middle Schooler Kenyon Watson won three events at the U.S. Junior Olympics Region 5 meet at Cedarville University July 14-15. Watson was first in the 100-meter dash (11.6 seconds) and had career-best marks in the 200 (23.4) and the 400 (52.9). Watson qualified for the Region 5 meet by winning the 100 (11.88), the 200 (23.7) and the 400 (53.5) in the U.S. Junior Olympic State meet on July 7-8 at Cedarville University.

Watson advanced to the U.S. Junior Olympic National meet in Baltimore that runs from July 25-29.
