Greeneview’s roll continues

Greeneview High School’s early-season roll continued with a 49-46 win over Miami Trace in girls basketball Friday.

Greeneview opened up a first-half lead, then held on as Miami Trace made a second-half comeback.

It was the second loss of the season for Miami Trace. Greeneview (9-1) rebounded after losing its first game to Fayetteville-Perry on Dec. 20.

Ashton Lovely led Greeneview with 20 points. She had seven rebounds and five assists while making four 3-pointers. Natasha Siebenaler had 10 points, five assists. Alex Rice had six points and six rebounds while Jackie Liming had four points and 14 rebounds. Sophie Sonneman had six points, seven rebounds.

Tecumseh 71, Oakwood 55: Bianca Quisenberry led Tecumseh with 36 points, 11 steals and eight rebounds. Quisenberry entered play averaging 27 points.

Tecumseh (11-1) has won 11 in a row since losing its season opener to Westerville South on Nov. 24.

Megan Christmann scored 13 for Tecumseh. Lindsey Nartker had 10.

Elizabeth Haley led Oakwood with 22. Georgie Murdock scored 13, Anne Whalen 11.

Boys basketball

Xenia 69, Graham 47: Graham lost its third game of the year. Wiatt Hanlin led Graham with 14 points, six rebounds. Grant Goddard and Devon Allen each scored nine. Goddard also had four assists.

Cody Phillippi led Xenia with 23 points. Dominique Tucker scored 16 while David Roberts had 13.

Mechanicsburg 72, Triad 61: Mechanicsburg opened with 28 points in the first quarter.

Brandon Welch led Mechanicsburg with 19 points. He shot 8-of-8 from the field while Mechanicsburg as a team shot over 50 percent.

Matt Bogan scored 16, Luke Marsh 14 and Brandon Purk 13.

Seth Donohoe led Triad with 12. Chaz Adams and Doug Lowe each scored 10.
