Jamie Dodane’s career scoring night led Mechanicsburg High School to a 56-38 win over Catholic Central in a girls basketball game Saturday.

Dodane, a sophomore, scored 26 points to lead Mechanicsburg. She shot 9-of-15 from the field, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range. She was 5-of-5 at the free throw line.

Brooke Dodane finished with 10.

Paige Lewis led Catholic Central with 25. She was the only Catholic Central scorer in double-figures.

Southeastern 43, West Liberty-Salem 38 OT: Maria Daulton’s 3-pointer with 15 seconds left in the fourth quarter tied the game for West Liberty. But Southeastern took over in overtime, led by Lexi Perry who scored seven of her 13 points in the final period.

Cedarville 31, Northeatern 26: Emily Aviles had 12 for Cedarvile (4-12). Kaitlyn Moore and Amanda Raber each scored eight for Northeastern (2-13).

Urbana 58, Northwestern 34: Urbana put the game away with a 30-9 run in the second quarter and improved to 6-1 in the Central Buckeye Conference.

Trischa Lacy led Urbana (9-8) with 30. She made five 3-pointers and had 12 rebounds, eight assists and six steals. Katie Weinert had seven points, nine rebounds.

Northwestern shot 4-of-16 from the free throw line.

Boys Basketball

Catholic Central 59, Cedarville 43: It was the second win of the year for Catholic Central.

Will Johnson led the Irish with 19. Mark Ellis had 16.

Hudson Grant had 18 for Cedarville (1-11).
