Division I

1. Springboro (9-0): Their first D-I playoff invite and a GWOC South title secured, all the Panthers have to do to complete an unbeaten regular season it take out host Lebanon. Two words for that: Arrive early. As if there wasn’t already enough on the line between these longtime rivals, consider that the Warriors have a shot at making the Region 4 playoffs should they win.

2. Lakota West (8-1): The Firebirds are coming off a classic 57-44 setback to unbeaten Colerain last week that essentially decided the GMC title. It’s fitting that they’ll end the regular season by hosting rival Lakota East (6-3). West must win to make the playoffs; East could wedge itself in with a win.

3. Wayne (7-2): A Region 4 playoff spot secured, the Warriors can add a GWOC Central title by winning at Northmont.

4. Northmont (6-3): The T-Bolts have won five of six and have a remote chance of making the Region 4 field should they beat Wayne. The winner earns at least a share of the Central title, depending how Beavercreek fares.

5. Beavercreek (6-3): Last week’s 27-21 defeat of Centerville knocked the Elks (5-4) out of the rankings. Creek is the only GWOC Central team to have beaten Wayne. If the Beavers win at Fairmont, they’ll share the Central title with the Wayne/Northmont winner. That would be their first football league title since 1985.

Others: Centerville, Fairborn, Fairfield, Fairmont, Hamilton, Lakota East, Lebanon, Mason, Middletown, Northmont, Springfield, Troy, Xenia.

Division II

1. Trotwood-Madison (7-2): Freshman Messiah DeWeaver has taken over at QB the last two games. Incredibly, the Rams must beat visiting Vandalia Butler (6-3) for the GWOC North title and a spot in the Region 8 playoffs. Those two perks also await Butler should it pull the upset.

2. Franklin (8-1): Wildcats have won six straight and have secured a Region 8 invite. Should roll against visiting Oakwood (2-7).

3. Tecumseh (7-2): Arrows, currently No. 8 in Region 7, must win at Kenton Ridge (6-3) to automatically qualify for the playoffs.

4. Tippecanoe (8-1): Red Devils, No. 6 in Region 8, must win at Springfield Shawnee (6-3) to secure playoff bid.

5. Edgewood (7-2): Cougars climbed to No. 8 in Region 8 and must beat visiting Harrison (4-5) to stay in the playoff picture.

Others: Bellbrook, Greenville, Kings, Little Miami, Piqua, Ross, Sidney, Stebbins, Talawanda, Vandalia Butler, West Carrollton.

Division III

1. Thurgood Marshall (8-1): Cougars vaulted to the top spot in Region 12 following Alter’s loss to Fenwick last week. Won’t get many second-level points after playing Ponitz Tech (1-8) on Thursday. Could be overtaken by No. 3 Circleville should it beat Canal Winchester (7-2).

2. Alter (7-1-1): Knights can secure a home playoff game should they beat rival CJ at Fairmont. Tied with Fenwick at 5-1 in the GCL North.

3. Urbana (8-1): Hillclimbers have won seven straight. No. 3 in Region 10, they won’t get many second-level points by beating Graham (1-8) in their bid to host a first-round playoff game.

4. Springfield Shawnee (6-3): Braves, No. 11 in Region 12, have won five of six and need a playoff-like defeat of visiting Tippecanoe to have a postseason shot.

5. Kenton Ridge (6-3): Cougars, No. 10 in Region 12, also are in a must-win situation against visiting Tecumseh for any playoff hope.

Others: Bellefontaine, Carroll, Dunbar, Eaton, Graham, Meadowdale, Monroe, Oakwood.

Division IV

1. Fenwick (7-2): Falcons, No. 4 in Region 16, must win at Carroll to earn at least a share of the GCL North title. Could be on the road in the first round of the playoffs should No. 5 Norwood beat Western Brown (8-1).

2. Milton-Union (7-2): Bulldogs, No. 7 in Region 16, should beat Northridge (1-8). However, could be bumped from the playoffs if No. 10 Madeira beats Wyoming (7-2) and No. 11 Carlisle beats Dixie (7-2).

3. Carlisle (7-2): Indians have everything on the line at Dixie. Lost only to Franklin and M-U.

4. Chaminade Julienne (6-3): It’s no certainty, but the Eagles, No. 13 in Region 16, would rekindle their postseason hopes by beating Alter.

5. Brookville (6-3): Blue Devils have been derailed by Bellbrook and Franklin the last two weeks. Still might crack Region 16 field by beating visiting Valley View (3-6).

Others: Badin, Greeneview, Greenon, Madison, Northeastern, Northridge, Northwestern, Ponitz Tech, Preble Shawnee, Valley View.

Division V

1. Coldwater (9-0): Cavaliers are one of the few teams statewide to clinch a No. 1 seed (Region 20). Also own an outright MAC title; host Fort Recovery.

2. Covington (9-0): A CCC title in hand and a Region 20 home playoff game secured. Can wrap up a perfect regular season against visiting Arcanum.

3. West Liberty-Salem (9-0): Doesn’t get any more stacked with great teams than Region 20. Tigers rank only No. 5 behind four other 9-0 teams. Can crack the top four and host a first-round playoff game by beating visiting Triad (8-1) for the OHC title.

4. Dayton Christian (9-0): It’s been a season of firsts for the Warriors. No. 4 in Region 20, they’ve clinched a playoff game but likely will be passed for a home game; host Waynesfield-Goshen.

5. Versailles (5-4): The Tigers’ place is no knock on area teams that aren’t ranked. That’s what a MAC schedule will do to a season; at St. Henry.

Others: Anna, Bethel, Dixie, Miami East, National Trail, Triad, Twin Valley South.

Division VI

1. Marion Local (7-2): Flyers have earned a Region 24 playoff bid and hope to retain home-field advance by winning at New Bremen. Besides losing to Coldwater, Local also was beaten by Versailles.

2. Minster (7-2): The MAC schedule rotation meant that Minster and Local didn’t play. A playoff matchup might loom. Host Delphos St. John’s, a Region 22 playoff qualifier.

3. Fort Loramie (7-2): Redskins are No. 2 in Region 24 but won’t get much additional help in hosting a playoff game by beating Upper Scioto Valley (1-8).

4. St. Henry (6-3): The Redskins are back in the Region 24 playoffs. Their reward is a playoff-like game against visiting Versailles.

5. Bradford (7-2): How about those Railroaders? Headed to the Region 24 playoffs; at TV South.

Others: Ansonia, Arcanum, Cedarville, Central Catholic, Cin. Christian, Fort Recovery, Jefferson, Lehman Catholic, Mississinawa Valley, New Bremen, New Miami, Southeastern, Tri-County North.
