Wittenberg Women Lacrosse continues record season

SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg University sophomore Alie Marousek had two goals and two assists as the top seeded Tigers defeated No. 4 seed Allegheny College 12-5 in the North Coast Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse semifinal Thursday.

Jennifer Close and Logan Wayre had two goals and an assist each as Wittenberg tied a school record for wins in a season with 12 and set a single-season scoring record with 213 goals. This was the first-ever postseason and NCAC tournament win for the Tigers program.

Wittenberg (12-4) will host No. 2 seed Denison in the championship match at 5 p.m. Saturday.
