UD, WSU baseball both rally for wins

DAYTON — Junior Ian Hundley’s two-out, bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 10th lifted the Flyers to a 2-1 win and a three-game sweep over Massachusetts.

Senior pitcher Burny Mitchem (4-7) earned the win in 31/3 innings of scoreless relief.

Starter Parker Schrage allowed two hits and one run in 62/3 innings for Dayton (25-27, 14-7 A-10)

• Wright State rallied to beat Youngstown State 6-3, scoring five runs in the sixth inning. Four of those runs came with two outs.

Jordan Marker (9-1) threw four shutout innings and Michael Schum earned his 12th save for the Raiders (35-16, 19-7 Horizon League).

• Sinclair dropped a pair of games at the NJCAA Division II regional tournament, ending the Pride’s season.

Sinclair lost 4-3 to Jackson in the first game and 9-6 to Glen Oaks in the second. The Pride finished the season 44-14.
