About Dayton

The Flyers are on a three-game winning streak and are shooting 54.2 percent from the field in that span. Oliver is averaging 13 points, 8.7 rebounds and is shooting 61 percent from the field in the last three games. Dillard also has regained his form, averaging 18 points on 70-percent shooting with eight steals in that stretch. The Flyers’ only loss is to 19th-ranked Colorado in the Charleston Classic. They beat Boston College and Auburn in the event and are 18-8 in the last six years over teams from the six power conferences.

About Weber State

The Wildcats are coming off a 25-7 season and have reached postseason play in five of the last six years. They beat Arizona Christian in their opener and lost to San Jose State and Utah State on the road. They were picked to finish second in the Big Sky Conference, the first time in five years they haven’t been the preseason favorite. They’re still adjusting to life without Damian Lillard, who was the sixth pick in the NBA draft and is a leading rookie of the year candidate with the Portland Trail Blazers. They should get a boost with the addition of forward Bryan Fulton, who has been cleared after missing the first three games with a knee injury. He finished seventh last year in the Big Sky in 3-point shooting at 42.9 percent

Quote, unquote

UD coach Archie Miller on his team’s 19 turnovers in a 66-58 win over Manhattan on Saturday: “We have to be a lot smarter and a lot sharper. Our turnovers in the game, some of them were inexcusable. The passing was not there. Some of that is on me as the coach. I have to be more demanding in terms of what we’re looking for in the offensive end. But mostly, we’re dealing with a lot of unnecessary breakdowns, breakdowns we shouldn’t be having.”
