About Wittenberg: The Tigers beat Allegheny 81-64 on Saturday and now sit all alone in third place in the North Coast Athletic Conference, two games back of Ohio Wesleyan and four games back of Wooster. Three 6-6 teams are right behind the Tigers: DePauw, Denison and Kenyon. The top four teams in the standings at the end of the regular season host NCAC tournament quarterfinal games Feb. 19. … Collins leads the Tigers with 57 assists. Newell is the team’s top 3-point shooter (42-of-100).

About Wabash: The Little Giants upset No. 8 Wooster 55-48 on Saturday, overcoming a 27-17 halftime deficit. Sponsler led all scorers with 20 points. It was the Scots’ first NCAC loss. They’re 18-3 and 11-1. … Wabash has had four different leading scorers in the last five games. … The teams have split the regular-season series the last two seasons. Wittenberg has won five of the last seven games in the series, including a 50-45 win at Crawfordsville on Jan. 16.

Women’s game: The Tigers (10-11, 6-6 NCAC) host Denison at 6 p.m. They won 57-46 at Allegheny on Saturday, snapping a two-game losing streak. Enri Small scored 22 points, and Heather Schroeder and Taylore Bundy each had 12. The Tigers are tied for fourth place with Allegheny and Ohio Wesleyan.
