DELAWARE —
Ohio Wesleyan completed a season sweep of the Wittenberg men’s basketball team, beating the Tigers 63-51 on Wednesday.

Ohio Wesleyan kept its grasp on second place, improving to 15-4 and 8-3 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. The Tigers (13-7, 6-5) lost for the third time in four games. They lost at home to Ohio Wesleyan 72-60 on Jan. 5.
Wooster (18-2, 11-0) beat Denison 94-64 Wednesday and has a three-game lead over Ohio Wesleyan with five games to play. Wabash beat DePauw 52-48 Wednesday, so Wittenberg and DePauw remain tied for third place.
Steven Newell led the Tigers with 10 points. Sam Collins, Ben Syroka and Scott Masin each scored eight, and Masin had 10 rebounds.
Marshall Morris led Ohio Wesleyan with 15 points, and Dre White scored 11.
Ohio Wesleyan shot 44 percent from the field and out-rebounded Wittenberg 34-29. The Tigers shot 39 percent from the field and were outscored 9-4 at the free-throw line.
The Tigers committed 13 turnovers, and Ohio Wesleyan had 10.
Wittenberg plays its fifth road game in the last seven games at 1 p.m. Saturday at Allegheny. The Tigers beat Allegheny 67-63 in Springfield on Dec. 8.
The Tigers still need one victory to extend their streak of consecutive seasons without a losing record to 57.
