About Wittenberg: The Tigers lost to Hiram at home 62-57 on Jan. 19. Cam Walton scored 18 points off the bench, making 4-of-16 3-pointers. The rest of the team shot 3-of-19 from long range. Hiram committed only four turnovers in the game, and Wittenberg had 12. Sheppard led the Terriers with 20 points.

About Hiram: The Terriers have lost six of their last seven games. The only win in that stretch was against Allegheny, 63-59 on Feb. 6. They lost a close one to second-place Ohio Wesleyan on Feb. 9, 63-61. … Hiram is tied for eighth place with Oberlin. Only the top eight teams make the NCAC tournament. One of those two teams will play at top-seeded Wooster in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. Oberlin swept the season series, so it has the tiebreaker if both teams win or tie today. Oberlin plays at Wabash.

Women’s game: The Tigers (11-13 overall) host Ohio Wesleyan at 1 p.m. Saturday in their final regular-season game. The teams are tied for fifth in the NCAC at 7-8, a game behind Denison, which plays at last-place Hiram today. Wittenberg lost 63-45 at Ohio Wesleyan on Jan. 29. Sarah Skidmore, Amber Rice and Katelyn Haralamos each scored 10 points for the Tigers in a 54-46 loss to top-ranked DePauw on Wednesday.
