Joey Votto’s mug isn’t on Mount Rushmore or the dollar bill, but Cincinnati Reds fans have helped make him the Face of Major League Baseball.

The Cincinnati Reds first baseman beat Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp in the finals of a MLB Network promotion. Fans were asked to include the hashtag #joeyvotto in any Tweet, and Votto received 67 percent of the Tweets in the finals.

The Face of Major League Baseball contest began with a bracket featuring one player from every team. Votto beat the Twins’ Joe Mauer, the Blue Jays’ Jose Bautista, the Yankees’ Derek Jeter and the Pirates’ Andrew McCutchen on the way to the finals. Each round lasted one day.

Former Reds center fielder Eric Davis congratulated Reds fans on Friday for voting Votto to the title, posting a photo of himself holding a sign that read, “Good Work, @Reds Fans! #joeyvotto.”
