Sleepwalker winds up stuck in mountain cliffs

Talk about a bad night's sleep. A man in northwest China had to be rescued after becoming trapped in a mountain crevice and he says he has no conscious memory of how he wound up there.

According to the Chinese news website Global Times, the 27-year-old is claiming he must have climbed up the rugged cliffs of the Flaming Mountains while sleepwalking.

A local villager discovered the man in a narrow crevice in a remote area about 100 feet above the ground.

Rescue workers had to borrow eight ladders from a nearby construction site in order to reach the wayward night adventurer.

The man's family told authorities that the man had been missing for more than two days before he was finally discovered.

Other than a bruised ego, his rescuers say the man only suffered from minor bruises from the ordeal.
