Severe weather damage reported

The following is a timeline of weather damage this morning.

7:39 a.m. WHIO-TV’s Steve Baker is reporting tree damage to homes and wind damage to a airplane hanger at Neil Armstrong Airport in New Knoxville

6:09 a.m. Main Street in North Hampton is still closed as crews wait for Ohio Edison to remove power lines tangled in the down tree. The owner of the property said the tree was previously damaged by lightening and was possibly taken down by strong winds.

3:38 a.m. A tree down on Main Street in North Hampton has closed the road way. The tree with diameter of about 10-12” down; snapped at bottom and the root system is exposed. Power lines are down. - Meteorologist Erica Collura

2:34 a.m. Staff reports power outage widespread in Sidney, no traffic lights working.

2:18 a.m. A reported barn fire in Green Twp., Clark Co.

2:18 a.m. Power lines down on Plattner Road in St. Marys.

2:01 a.m. A viewer in North Hampton is reporting a big tree down with wires in the road way and the road is blocked.

1:59 a.m. A report of a large tree and a four inch tree limb down in Shelby County.

1:49 a.m. A viewer has reported a house and a garage have been damaged by the wind in Wapakoneta.

1:30 a.m. A Wendy’s restaurant sign has no electricity on Belfontaine Street in Wapakoneta near I-75. Two trees are down.

1:28 a.m. Tree down on power lines in Pike Twp.

1:17 a.m. Large tree limbs reported down in Bradford.

1:16 a.m. A building reportedly destroyed in Unionpolis.

1:07 a.m. Report of a building destroyed near Neil Armstrong Airport in New Knoxville.

1:00 a.m. Report of utility poles down in Fort Loramie.

12:57 a.m. All lanes are blocked on U.S. 33 because of an semi-tractor trailer that was empty and blew over in the high winds. The driver of the semi-tractor trailer refused medical treatment.

12:53 a.m. A report of trees down in Wapakoneta.

12:42 a.m. Significant wind damage to a barn and another nearby building reported three miles northwest of Rockford in Mercer County.

12:31 a.m. Utility poles have snapped on State Route 364 in St. Marys because of high winds.

12:31 a.m. Semi-tractor trailer has blown over west of Wapakoneta on U.S. 33.

12:31 a.m. Sixty-three mph wind gust have been reported three miles southwest of St. Marys.
