Should JobsOhio be investigated?

TODAY’S MODERATOR

What do you think about our revelations this week that six of nine JobsOhio directors sit on the boards of, are employed by or hold stock in companies that have received state assistance?

Laura Bischoff, a member of this newspaper’s Columbus bureau, reported these findings earlier this week, and now Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ed FitzGerald is calling on the Ohio Ethics Commission to look into the matter. JobsOhio, as you know, is Republican Gov. John Kasich’s private economic development agency that’s come under heavy scrutiny in the past. Spokesmen for both JobsOhio and Kasich said there is no conflict of interest.

Are you troubled by these financial links to JobsOhio's board of directors? Or do you support Kasich's JobsOhio initiative and believe it's working? Should there be an investigation by the Ohio Ethics Commission? Or is this just a political maneuver by Kasich's opponents? Drop me a line at mwilliams@coxohio and let me know what you think.
