ZANESVILLE, Ohio — A jury has found an Ohio couple guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the drowning of the woman's 3-year-old son and disappearance of his 2-year-old brother during a camping trip.

Twenty-five-year-old Kasey Klein and 38-year-old Richard Klein Jr. of Zanesville were convicted Thursday in Muskingum County.

Authorities have said the boys wandered away from a family campsite near the Muskingum River in June. The older boy's body was found in the water within hours; the younger boy has not been found.

The Zanesville Times Recorder reports that Kasey Klein's attorney had pointed the finger at her husband. But Richard Klein's attorney, William Mooney, had argued "the boys died as a result of life happening, not because someone did something wrong."

A prosecutor had argued the couple's irresponsibility led to the deaths.
