CLEVELAND — Authorities in northeast Ohio say a 16-year-old boy has turned himself in the death of a 16-year-old girl who was dragged by a vehicle during a late-night argument.
The Plain Dealer newspaper reports the boy surrendered to police on Monday with his father and was being interviewed.
Police in Cleveland say the girl was standing next to a maroon Jeep on Sunday night when the driver accelerated, dragging her. She fell from the vehicle and later died at MetroHealth Medical Center.
The Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH'-guh) County medical examiner's office identified the girl as Rosaura Oquendo (oh-KEHN'-doh) of Cleveland.
Police say the unoccupied vehicle was found Monday morning several blocks away.
