Woman reports robbery at ATM

A Springfield woman told Springfield police she was getting cash from an ATM in the 2000 block of East Main Street about 9:10 p.m. Thursday when a man walked up to the ATM as it was dispensing money, grabbed the cash and took off. STAFF REPORT

Man reports robbery

A 52-year-old Springfield man was treated for a laceration to his neck after he alleged a man hit him and robbed him of his cash and a cell phone about 2:45 p.m. Thursday.

The man told Springfield police he pulled up to the suspect in the 500 block of West Pleasant Street and asked about buying a prescription pain medication. He was instructed to pull into a garage in a nearby alley.

In the garage, the suspect, who was reportedly carrying an unknown shiny object, struck the victim in the neck and took the items, according to a police report. STAFF REPORT

Man says he’s attacked with tables over concert tickets

A Springfield man told police a man attacked him with glass coffee and end tables in his home Thursday afternoon in the 2100 block of Erie Avenue over payment for concert tickets.

The victim said the suspect asked him to pay him back for the tickets, which he declined to do because he thought they were gifts, angering the suspect.

The suspect is then alleged to have hit him in the head with a glass coffee table and a glass end table about 5:30 p.m.

A fistfight ensued between the two and the victim said he’d cut the suspect several times to get him off of him. While officers investigated, the suspect returned to the home and threated to kill the victim.

He had several lacerations for which he was transported to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton for treatment, according to the report. The suspect told police he was cut with a knife by the victim.

An warrant on the suspect was requested for assault and aggravated menacing charges. STAFF REPORT

Thefts

• A washer and dryer, valued at $1,000, were reported stolen from a rental unit in the 400 block of South Center Street between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday. STAFF REPORT
