A 19-year-old New Carlisle man died at Miami Valley Hospital Wednesday from injuries sustained when the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a pickup truck.
The crash occurred Wednesday morning in the 700 block of West Jefferson Street.
Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Melchi said the truck driver hit motorcyclist Joe Christmas while attempting to make a left turn onto Smith Street.
Both men had a green light, but the truck driver’s vision was affected by the sun, Melchi said. He said the driver was not injured and will be cited for failure to yield.
Christmas was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
