MORAINE —
One person died and another is in serious condition Tuesday afternoon after a head on collision on Main Street near Lyleburn Road.
A 2002 Dodge driven by a 44-year-old male was traveling northbound and collided with a southbound 2002 Saturn driven by 71-year-old Emily Andrews of Dayton.
Andrews and the other driver were taken to Miami Valley Hospital. The male is in serious condition.
Andrews died from her injuries. according to Moraine Sgt. Russ Imler.
Imler said it was an odd place for a collision because the road is wide and there is a center turn lane.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the Dodge went left of center, Imler said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. It does not appear that weather was a factor.
