How will rest of AFC North do in first round of NFL draft?

By Carlos Holmes

Staff Writer

Here’s a rundown of the directions the other teams in the AFC North could be taking in the first round of the draft Thursday:

Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh likely will address its biggest need, offensive line, with the 24th overall pick. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger took a pounding last season, so protection is vital. The pick could come from this group of interior linemen: David DeCastro (Stanford), Cordy Glenn (Georgia), Amini Silatolu (Midwestern State).

Baltimore Ravens

Much like the Steelers, the Ravens have a concern on the offensive line. They lost Pro Bowl left guard Ben Grubbs to New Orleans in free agency and have yet to replace him. If the Steelers don’t take him, Silatolu, who visited last week, is likely with the 29th pick.

Cleveland Browns

Cleveland has the No. 4 and No. 22 picks and hopes to land an impact player on offense. Some of the names coming out of Browns Town associated with the first pick are running back Trent Richardson (Alabama), quarterback Ryan Tannehill (Texas A&M) and wide receiver Justin Blackmon (Oklahoma State). With Peyton Hillis gone, Richardson seems like the obvious choice. At No. 22, expect the Browns to address a problem area such as offensive line, wide receiver or linebacker.
