A 19-year-old convicted sex offender has been arrested for failing to register her address.

A Champaign County sheriff’s deputy arrested Amber Nicole Recker on Wednesday. She is now in the Tri-County Jail.

In November 2012, Recker was arrested in Austin, Minn., on the same failure to register felony. She was charged in Mower County court.

Recker then admitted to Austin police that she had been kicked out of a home and had been homeless for at least seven months. She had been on the run to avoid potential prison time, the Austin Daily Herald reported.

Recker is designated as a habitual sex offender, according to jail records, but information about her prior offenses could not be located in public records.
