Bethel Twp. woman charged with making false alarm

Michelle Lewis, 32, of 826 Cliffside Drive, was placed in Clark County Jail Monday on charges of making a false alarm and inducing panic.

According to a news release from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Lewis called 911 to report her home was on fire, leading to a response by Bethel Twp. fire crews and sheriff’s deputies about 6:45 p.m. Officials found no fire at the home. STAFF REPORT

Man hospitalized after alleged assault

A Springfield man told police he was in the area of West High Street and South Lowry Avenue in Springfield about 9:45 p.m. Sunday when a vehicle pulled up. It was occupied by three males who got out and assaulted him by punching and kicking him.

He was treated at Springfield Regional Medical Center for a head injury. STAFF REPORT

Two men charged after alleged assault

Joshua T. Lawson, 24, of 217 N. Race St., and Donald J. Brown, of 213 N. Race St., were ordered into court on charges after officers witnessed Lawson punch a 48-year-old man in the head about 7:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North Shaffer Street in Springfield, according to a report.

Lawson was charged with assault and Brown was disorderly conduct because he was yelling and screaming at officers who were arresting Lawson, according to the report. Both were ordered into court. STAFF REPORT

Woman injured in alleged domestic dispute

A 45-year-old woman sustained facial and bodily injuries and a broken finger in an alleged domestic violence incidence Friday evening in the 400 block of Montgomery Avenue in Springfield.

Warrants for felony domestic violence and assault were requested on the man who’s also alleged to have cut up pieces of her clothing with a knife, according to the report.

The felony warrant stemmed from a misdemeanor domestic violence conviction in 1991. STAFF REPORT

• Two televisions, valued at $3,350, were reported stolen between 9:30 and 11:40 a.m. Sunday during a home burglary in the 1000 block of North Belmont Avenue.

• A game console, valued at $800, was reported stolen between 2 and about 7:30 p.m. from a home in the 1900 block of Fred Jordan Drive East. STAFF REPORT
