Police headlines: Springfield man shot in leg

Man shot in leg on West Southern Ave.

A Springfield man was shot once in the leg late Thursday night in the 40 block of West Southern Avenue, according to a Springfield police report.

Police responded to the area of Center Street and Southern Avenue on the report of a man shot just after 11 p.m. and found the 21-year-old victim hopping out from the east side of a home on West Southern Avenue. The home also had two bullet holes.

He was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center for treatment. According to the report, the victim became uncooperative with their investigation. STAFF REPORT

Couple charged with domestic violence

A couple were placed in the Clark County Jail on domestic violence and assault charges early Thursday morning.

Delisa F. Huffman, 40, and Robert Rainwater, 41, were accused by deputies of injuring each other during a domestic dispute about 2:30 a.m. at their home, 6952 Joseph Drive. STAFF REPORT

Thefts

• About $900 in unauthorized charges were reportedly made to a Springfield resident’s credit card between Dec. 8 and Thursday.

• A camera, two guitars and video games valued at $3,900 were reported stolen from a residence in the 3300 block of Nantucket Street between Dec. 6 and Dec. 9.

• A necklace and cash valued at more than $500 were reported stolen during the burglary of a home in the 300 block of Terrace Drive between 6 and 8:15 p.m. Thursday.

• Sixty steel beams valued at $1,000 were reported stolen from beside a garage in the 2000 block of East Pleasant Street between 3 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday.

• Two solid tires valued at $1,240 were reported stolen from Sunbelt Rentals, 1609 N. Bechtle Ave., between 1 and 1:40 p.m. Friday. Each weighed about 200 pounds. STAFF REPORTS
